One of my favourite authors is Colleen Hoover. Her novels are my favourite. They are full of emotions, sentimental and heart touching. In my creative writing class, I learned interesting characters are complex and layered. Here the lead character is well written, layered and human. You can relate to both Beyah and Samson. Beyah who has come from a dysfunctional family has limited ideas about family, friend, sharing and love. In her summer vacation, she comes in touch with Samson. Who encouraged her to not judge people from her previous bad experiences. We should be open-minded before meeting somebody. Beyah accepted her new family, and friends and her new emotions toward Samson. They both faced some severe problem in their life. And how that affects their respective life is the gist of the story. Somehow this story has some similarity to a Korean movie "3Irons". It's worth reading.
If the heart is a muscle then how can it break? Maybe when you are in love you develop heart bones.
Some books are average in reading some are predictable. But Colleen Hoover's book is always full of surprise and new topic.
